Meet your banking team. Douglas County Bank’s executive management team is full of senior-level, experienced bankers that are here to serve you. Below is more about them.
Ted Haggart, President and CEO, joined Douglas County Bank in April 2001. His time is balanced between customer relationships and recruiting new customers to DCB, leadership and management of the bank, community service activities and working with the bank’s Board of Directors. Community activities include serving as chair of the Lawrence Regional Technology Center, co-chair of the Lawrence Bioscience Task Force, and President-Elect of the Friends of the Lied Center. Other board memberships include the United Way of Douglas County, the Friends of the Spencer Museum of Art, and the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation.
Before joining DCB, Ted was President of Union National/Commerce Bank in Manhattan and Senior Vice President of First National Bank in Salina. He also was an economics professor at Kansas State University, executive director of the Kansas Economic Education Council and an economist for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee. Ted graduated from KU with degrees in economics and math, and received a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota.

Pat Slabaugh, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been at Douglas County Bank since 1983. He attended Emporia State University and is a graduate of the Colorado School of Banking. Pat is a member of the Lawrence Rotary, the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Committee, is past president of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, and has also been active with Leadership Lawrence and the Douglas County Development Board of Directors.

Sandra Studley, Senior Vice President, Cashier, has been with the bank since March of 1990, and she currently oversees the accounting functions of the bank. Sandra earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Kansas State University is a graduate of the University of Madison-Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. She serves on the board of the Lawrence Sertoma club, and is a member of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Hearts of Gold Steering Committee and the Project Graduation Steering Committee.

Gina Baun, Senior Vice President, Loan Services, has been with Douglas County Bank since August 1975 and she currently oversees the Loans Services activities of the bank. She is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School and the Colorado School of Banking. Gina is president of the board of Cottonwood, Inc., president of Wakarusa Valley Development, Inc. and a graduate of Leadership Lawrence.

Mike Davies, Senior Vice President, Trust Services, has been with the bank since April 1984. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and also a law degree from Washburn University. Mike is an attorney and member of the Kansas Bar, and has held leadership positions in the Douglas County Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Trust Division of the Kansas Bankers Association.
